Hammer Time

It's a cheesy title, I know, but I am a child of the '80's! My husband was really looking for some activities to do with our daughter. Since he grew up in a house full of boys, crafts are not up his alley.. so when I suggested he take V. to Home Depot he readily agreed. What man doesn't enjoy seeing all the latest power tools with a hint of sawdust floating through the air. So twice a month, they head to Lowes and Home Depot. They love these workshops. He definitely said it's much better than doing crafts with glitter-and for 2 days after the workshop, V. sat in the garage and hammered about 50 nails into an old piece of wood. My husband looked on proudly and said, "Now that's my girl."
The Home Depot workshops are the first Saturday of every month, and the Lowe's workshops are every second Saturday. Be sure to register early and arrive on time. These workshops are great and the employees and both stores are so helpful and patient. This is one of our favorite free activities! Check out the links to see the upcoming projects!
